About Mazingira Conservation Works
Mazingira Conservation Works (MCW) is designed to support practical interventions aimed at habitat protection, community conservation actions, citizen science, and women-led conservation enterprises. Currently, MCW focuses its work within the Greater Laikipia Landscape, Kenya. Over time, it is expected to grow to support other initiatives in other conservation landscapes and countries.
Mission
Mazingira Conservation Works supports the actions of local communities to preserve vital habitats and conserve nature in critical locations around the world. With a particular focus on women and youth, we support this mission through local partnerships, responsible ecotourism, education and training, and grant-giving.
"Mazingira" means environment in Kiswahili
